Colleen was wonderful! At 1 year old, My son was understanding everything but not using expressive language. Colleen helped him expand his vocabulary and catch up to where he should be. We worked with her for almost a year and he was using 3-4 phrases by the time he “graduated”. He looked forward to speech every week and misses her now that he doesn’t need to go anymore (we do too!) Colleen was very patient and professional. She didn’t pressure or rush him in his process. She developed a treatment plan tailored to his needs and seemed to really understand what he needed to work on and how to get there. Speech therapy at CST was a fun and enjoyable experience for our whole family! I could go on forever but bottom line, Colleen is awesome!

We absolutely loved our experience at CST. Ms. Emily is fantastic and was the perfect fit for my son and his needs. It was remarkable to watch him make progress every single week! Not only were the weekly sessions a huge help, but Ms. Emily made sure to spend time talking about things we could do at home to continue the progress. She made the sessions fun and engaging, and my son is already asking if he can go back and visit her, because he misses seeing her every week now that school has started! Couldn't recommend CST (and Ms. Emily) enough!

Amanda was amazing with our 8 week old baby working on bottle feeding to help with weight gain. Our baby has torticollis and she referred us out to further assess tongue/lip ties. The whole intake process was smooth and they really do a great job triaging your care to make sure you’re seeing the best therapist for your needs.

We had a wonderful experience with Sam at CST! My daughter and I met weekly with Sam for about one year, starting when she was 18 months. During that time, my daughter learned to communicate using signs (e.g., more, eat, go, all done) before eventually developing normal toddler language skills. Sam is very gentle, kind and caring and was a joy to see weekly. One of the many incredible things Sam did was to observe my daughter at daycare one morning, which helped us understand how her teachers were (and were not) supporting her speech development. Having a third-party observer was so helpful, and gave me the insights I needed to move her to a new school. She then met with her new teachers—going so above and beyond! A big THANK YOU to Sam and CST!

I cannot recommend Chicago Speech Therapy enough. Colleen was our speech therapist and she was absolutely amazing. Not only do I feel that she did a wonderful job with my 2 years old son to make sure he achieved all of his goals, I really believe that Colleen’s ability to connect with young children sped his improvement along faster than if he had been with someone else. My son would look forward to speech therapy and working with Colleen all week long. She was truly a bright spot in his week and even though he graduated he still asks to see her. Colleen also took the time to address any concerns or questions I had as a parent, which made me feel like my son was in great hands.

My almost 10-year-old older child improved drastically in the friendly and fun guidance of Lauren Mitchell! She taught her while playing games and made all the hard work encouraging and exciting! Highly effective therapist!
