Your experience starts each session with the delightful Alexis who greets you and fields any scheduling concerns or other issues you may have. Then you are promptly joined by your well trained therapist and your session starts immediately with a 10 minute warmup on the stationary bike. Your therapist is with you to answer any questions you may have and other therapists hearing the questions may jump in to offer other opinions or analysis of you question. The therapists provide as many rest periods as they believe are necessary and provide water any time during the session. They show concern for your interests and plans for the day and week ahead showing a genuine care of each patient. The session flows quickly and all exercises are explained. The people and well chosen activities are well chosen and the session flows freely but always in control. This is an excellent place to rehab!

Both the Rehab at the Hospital and the off site Rehab were fantastic. The week of PT at the hospital prepared me for the PT off site. I don't think I would have gotten my strength back as soon as I did without both. The off site Rehab got me over the hump and back to feeling normal. They both gave me "homework", which only made my recovery faster. I will continue to do my exercises at home to keep up my strength building. I know I could not have done this on my own. The staff was so professional, yet made each session a challenge and fun. Yes there were some exercises that were quite difficult, but with the professional help, they helped me overcome the difficult ones and eventually made me confident in doing those exercises. I can't thank the staff for such a rewarding experience and getting me back on my feet once again and back to as much normal as an 80-year-old can hope for.

The standard recovery guideline suggests one week of convalescence for each day spent in the hospital; however, I surpassed expectations by recovering in just four days following a five-day stay, showcasing my resolve and resilience in achieving a swift and robust recovery, and underscoring the exceptional care provided at San Joaquin Valley Rehab Hospital.

Insurance issue, I went there to the O.T. dept. As I was post op De Quevians release patient.
My last appointment, was the last appointment on New Years Eve. My therapist was going to retire. I was her last patient of her career. I was told by the faculty only my therapist could do addendum. I need to know what was treatment for De Quevians release and what is the MVA. The front office should have found out about my med pay. And gotten my mva info.
My therapist was nice and knew her job. And I see this as a front office issue not catching it and communicating with the therapist.
She must have been in a hurry. My PCP wrote 2 PRESCRIPTIONS. 1 for MVA evaluate & 1 POST OP OT. They took my Medicare insurance yet put the date of my MVA. Of course Medicare is coming after me for payment of my therapy. I asked facility do addendum as that was incorrect date.
They have you fill out a form they get your insurance information & ask why are we seeing you. I said for my post op therapy. But yet they put motor vehicle accident.
So did they treat me for the wrong thing? No, I've had my therapist associates therapist, to review notes. They said treatment for a strIn wrist 48 hrs ice and rest.
I've asked for a addendum many many times. NOw sending me to voice mail that's after calling the administrator Of the therapy dept. Many times & taking my surgeons notes personally to him . To prove I was there for my post op therapy. They have put me on ignore. They have ghosted me.
I called billing dept. As the called me 1st. They lmo my voice mail. To loose her number, another ghosted.
I have filed a complaint with the physical therapy board. I'm retired orthopedic back office MA & Orthopedic Tech. I've had 2 of my therapist friends read the notes. Yes I was treated for my post op. Yet they say they treated me for 6weeks for a minor strain of my wrist. On top of that they over charge Medicare. I did ask therapist to document what treatment for wrist. I’ve reported them to the board and going to court. I think I'll have to sue them to get them to have any kind of Courtesy. Or respond. I have been a medical office mgr. I can say I've done a few addendum. I have never treated a patient as poorly as I've been treated by San Joaquin Valley rehabilitation hospital & Mario. I have another surgery coming up I will not go there for therapy.
So don't let them ignore you and check what your billed.
I'm not done with you San Joaquin valley Rehab . Ask the retired therapist to break up the 2 treatments. That's all I'm asking. I shouldn't have 6wks of therapy on a strain . My surgeon wrote rx for 6 wks.
I'm frustrated, I did not want to do this but they left me no CHOICE.

My husband was discharged today with no medication. I have been trying to get this resolved for the last three hours. We don’t have any prescriptions called into a pharmacy so my husband will go without medication tonight. Staff have been no help whatsoever. they just keep saying the nurse practitioner is working on it. According to staff, the nurse practitioner is in charge of the entire hospital while the medical Director is away. Meanwhile, my husband doesn’t have his medication. I will be filing complaint with the state of California

All of the personnel that I dealt with on all of my visits, definitely rate five stars!
Very competent , helpful, and rapidly helped me achieve my goal of increased mobility and decreased discomfort.
After years of reduced quality of life and the inability to do as many projects at home; I am glad that I finally made the decision to see if this would help!
IT DID!!!
