This is easily some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, accompanied by some of the most authentic friendly customer service. Presentation, service, freshness and deliciousness were honestly all 11/10. I could decide what I wanted so I asked if they had a variety plate I could order. They said they don’t have one on the menu but the chef was willing to whip up a custom order with a great variety of fish to try. This place is a must try.

Similar to sushi we had in Tokyo. I was skeptical at first since it’s a kiosk but the quality of the food is superb! I’ve been searching for a good sushi spot that has similar quality to what I’ve had in Tokyo, this is by far the closest one. I’ve tried restaurants that claims to have good sushi but I always come out disappointed. You would need to order in advance though. It’s located at the stairs of USBank bldg and you can sit and enjoy the food at the roof top where you can see the library bldg in front of you. I walk to this place so I do not know exactly where to park, although US bank does have a parking structure. For the quality and the price, I give it 5 stars.

I really enjoyed the food and the experience here!! Much better food service and atmosphere than sit down sushi I had in downtown Burbank yesterday. I didn’t realize it was take out only when I arrived, but I decided to roll with it. Lisa, who took my order, is super friendly and promised a nice area to eat in the garden area above and it delivered! It helps it is a nice day, but there are a bunch of tables under a solid canopy structure if it rains. Fountains, green grass, trees. Very nice calming area. They claim half pound protein in the salmon fat roll box and I believe it. Chef tay said the salmon was good and used salmon belly..delicious! They said to try their green sauce as an alternative to soy sauce and it was very tasty! They are trying hard here and doing a great job in my view.

Probably some of the best Japanese food I’ve had in my life. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, the presentation is superb, and the fish just melts in your mouth. The husband and wife duo are very neighborly and we often talk while Te makes the bento box in front of me. The first time I ate there, I didn’t know what I wanted so Te walked me through the different types of cuts he had and made a special combo box for me of the Tuna and Salmon. If you’re downtown, this is the best take out place and probably one of the best hole in the wall restaurants in LA. Their food makes my day a little brighter.

Let's be honest. When you hear that a bento costs $40, can you resist feeling skeptical? It's unlikely. Even for someone like me, born and raised in Japan, such an expensive bento is quite unheard of.

However, this time, fueled by my husband's remarkable curiosity, we ventured to try this American-style sashimi bento.

Having sampled Japanese cuisine all over the United States, the experience at Te Isshoki became one of the highlights of Japanese food in America. Beautiful people, beautiful food!

The exquisite Sashimi Bento provided a dining experience reminiscent of a Michelin-starred establishment. The impeccable presentation and quality of the dishes made a lasting impression, leaving us eagerly anticipating our next visit to relish these exquisite flavors once more.

I highly recommend the tuna bento; although my husband isn't typically a fan of tuna in the US, he changed his mind after trying mine and declared that he will choose tuna over salmon next time!

The setting, the food, the people - everything was beautifully brought together, creating a memorable dining experience that transcended mere food appreciation.

The combination of truffle ponzu sauce and Toro salmon was the best! I can't believe I can eat such delicious sushi at the sushi to-go shop in DTLA. Only you should remember is you need to pre-order because they are very busy!

It’s a kiosk, take out type of place, but the food was delicious. I got the lunch special and it was so so good. The fish was fresh, and it came with salads, fruit and pickles. You know they put a lot of care into their food when the presentation is this good and the owner proudly describes his business, ingredients and dressing that’s included. I will definitely be back.
